Risk Management Approach
At Prosper Family Dentistry, we believe that dentistry is all about risk management. We understand that no one wants to be in the dental chair and our unique approach is designed to minimize the time each person spends in the dental chair throughout their life. Utilizing a thorough comprehensive evaluation that combines all of the systems of oral health with each patient’s general health and 3D imaging, each doctor is able to develop a plan that will take every patient’s dental risk factors to their own minimum.
When you come in for your initial evaluation, you will have a one-on-one interview with the doctor to address your concerns and then the evaluation and imaging will be completed. After your interview, evaluation and imaging, the doctor will review your risks.
At Prosper Family Dentistry we are proud to offer state-of-the art in-house teeth, jaw and skull 3D imaging and analysis technology. Our in-house iCAT Cone Bean 3D Dental Imaging System allows Prosper Family Dentistry’s doctors to provide quick, comfortable, safe and effective dental imaging for the most precise dental health diagnosis possible. Information not visible using standard 2-D x-rays is now available using 3-D imaging technology for a more thorough evaluation and diagnosis. Prosper Family Dentistry’s doctors uses this state-of-the-art imaging to help provide you with the most comprehensive treatment possible.
Prosper Family Dentistry is committed to its doctors continuing education and their use of advanced dental technologies in serving their patients. We are proud to have in-house laser technology including BioLase and Waterlase systems. Heat, vibration and pressure are the primary causes of pain associated with the use of the traditional dental drill. Since cutting both hard and soft tissues (teeth and gums) with the WaterLase does not generate heat, vibration or pressure, many dental procedures can be performed nearly pain-free with fewer shots, less need for anesthesia, less use of the drill and fewer numb lips! Additionally, using the WaterLase for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling and the need for pain medication in many cases. It’s just a better way to get your dentistry done!
Committment to Continuing Education
Dentists in Texas are required by law to receive a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education each year. Dr. Jill, Dr. Lara and Dr. Cara average more than 75 hours of continuing education each year. This focus on continuing education allow them to study and receive direct training on the newest technologies and advances in dental care. Examples of this include our doctor’s knowledge and experience with dental lasers, their new in-house 3D imaging system, advances in dental implants, use of non-invasive Invisalign technology to replace older orthodontic braces, and much more. At Prosper Family Dentistry you know you will be receiving the most advanced dental care available anywhere.
